I posted a photo for Teddy’s eight month update on Instagram last week and got a bunch of questions about the chair Teddy was sitting on. The chairs themselves were a Craigslist find (I’ve been lugging various “future projects” from one attic/basement/garage to the next for years…) that I had reupholstered in a Lee Jofa Sameera fabric in the indigo colorway. (Decorator’s Best is always the first site I check for to-the-trade fabrics and wallpapers by the way!) I’d been counting down the days until we could move into our addition/renovation so I could move them into our living room and they make me so happy every time I walk by! It will take me years — truly! — to decorate this house the way I dream of so I hope you’ll bear with me sharing in bits and pieces along the way.

P.S. If you love the fabric but don’t have any upholstery projects on the horizon, I found throw pillows in other colorways of the same fabric here and here!

P.P.S. If you really want to splurge, this fabric is also available as an insanely dreamy wallpaper which you can see in action in product photos for this collection.

  1. Beautiful! I love this fabric so much. Also now I feel justified for all the furniture I’m hoarding for someday projects!

  2. They’re lovely! Do you know how many yards you had to use for each chair? I have very similar (if not exactly the same) chairs, and I need to get them redone.
