I’ve been doing a sponsored partnership with Summersalt on Instagram over the past few months but wasn’t required to share anything on my blog. It’s been good for me to get outside my comfort zone, embrace my postpartum body, and talk on camera about why this swimwear is so flattering, but I also wanted to share here too because I just really love this brand and am confident you guys will too. Again this blog post isn’t sponsored (though I only ever share products I love, sponsored or not!) but I wanted to answer a few of the questions I’ve gotten about Summersalt since I started working with them.

summersalt sidestroke lava hibiscus white sand

swimsuit  //  hat

The fit of these swimsuits is basically magic. The Sidestroke suit above is my very favorite — it’s full coverage on the boobs and butt and has diagonal seams that keep everything in place. Their swimwear has 4x the compression of the average swimsuit and it’s honestly just so flattering relative to every other brand I own. A bunch of you have asked about sizing — I wear the size 4 and recommend ordering up one size!

swimsuit  //  shorts  //  hat  //  monogrammed tote (size XL with regular handles)

Here’s the same Sidestroke suit in deep sea navy blue (I have the deep sea/hydrangea/white sand as well!). It’s such a good style if you’re self-conscious about showing too much cleavage and want something you can comfortably run into the ocean or dive into a pool in because it’s not going anywhere!

summersalt ruffle backflip deep sea dot

This is the Ruffle Backflip style in the deep sea dot and it has the cutest sleeve detail with a white contrast ruffle. I love, love, love this suit and have several girlfriends who have ordered it and love it as much as I do! This is a little less full coverage than the style above but it has soft padded cups and I find the low back super flattering. You’re welcome to use my code MACKENZIE10 to take $10 off any order — I hope you love them as much as I do!

  1. Hi – these suits look so great! Given I have breastfed a few children and am a D cup my breasts aren’t what they were! How does the one shoulder feel from a support perspective? Reckon not enough for a saggy d cup!
Thank you – I really want to invest in a good flattering suit that isn’t too ‘mumsy’!

    1. I am breastfeeding currently so I totally hear you! I find the Sidestroke quite supportive for the silhouette (even without padding as the diagonal seams help keep everything in place!) but I was a B cup pre-baby so not an expert on dressing for a larger chest. Two thoughts: 1) they have a section of “great boob support” suits here that includes the one shoulder style you like and 2) if you look above the image of the model on each product page, you’ll see a dropdown where you can choose a model whose measurements are most similar to yours and view that style on someone with your height or chest size. I hope that helps!

      1. Hey there – thank you for your thorough and honest review! Makes me want to buy one more now! I’ll have a look at the links you included – they’re all so lovely!

I know you are probably up to your eyes in swimsuits but thought you’d like this style also – love the nautical look with the yellow.

Off to make a 101 list and #1 is pick a swimsuit!

        Thanks x

  2. I really appreciate this review! I’ve been considering Summersalt for next year. My daughter Annabelle was born a little after Teddy, and while I feel like I have my “pre-baby” body back, I just don’t have time to deal with two pieces anymore. (Also, LOVE when you shoot in Nantucket—you always look so relaxed and happy!)
