MY NEW 101 IN 1001 LIST!

I’m excited to share that my fourth 101 in 1001 list is now live right here! It’s been a challenging time to set goals for the years to come amidst so much uncertainty and I really tried to focus most of the goals on this new list on aspects of my life I have at least some control over. I know I’m not the only one who’s struggled with maintaining clear focus during all this time at home and my hope is this new list will give me little things to look forward to no matter what the coming months have in store.

You’ll notice a huge portion of my list concentrates on projects we want to tackle at our house — I don’t imagine we’ll get to all of them in the next 1001 days, but it certainly feels more inspiring to look at a list of projects we want to take on than it is to look a list of countries we can’t travel to right now! This is actually the first list I’ve written without a section for travel and while I pray that’s something we’ll all feel comfortable doing again in the next 2.75 years, I also know our personal lives are pretty focused on family and our home these days anyway and some of the goals I’ve set in years past (see my first, second, and third lists here) just don’t feel as feasible with a little one in tow, let alone an ongoing pandemic.

The 101 in 1001 framework has not only been a really useful goal-setting tool for me over the nine (!) years since I wrote my first list, but recently it’s been a much-needed dose of perspective that this challenging time will pass. The fact that my first list had goals like move into my first ever studio apartment (anyone been reading this long?!) and upgrade to an iPhone (??? does it feel remotely possible that I ever lived without one?!) was a helpful reminder that this chapter will also one day be in the rearview mirror. Whether this time finds you struggling or thriving or constantly up and down between the two, I’d love to think that writing your own 101 in 1001 list might give you a little boost and sense of direction too. Send me an email if you decide to write your own and check out all my new goals here! xx
