IT’S A BOY!

Drumroll please… Teddy is getting a little brother! I was convinced we were having a girl because my first trimester was so different from my first trimester with Teddy, but Will and I were both overjoyed when the doctor called and said it’s a boy! I’m excited for them to share lots of clothes and toys, eventually a bedroom, and of course a lifetime as best buds. 💙 My family is two girls and then two boys so I’m extra excited to have two of the same sex back to back. If you have two boys in your family, I’d love to hear your favorite things about it in the comments!

  1. Congratulations! I am also 17 weeks pregnant with my second little boy, so it’s very fun to follow along with your journey. Also like you my morning sickness has been far less severe this time around! Thank you for sharing with all of us!

  2. I have 2 boys, 19 mos apart. They were fast friends from the start and they both keep me on my toes with four different sports, Boys are awesome!!! 💙

  3. SOOOOO VERY HAPPY FOR ALL OF YOU! YES, A BABY BROTHER FOR TEDDY TO PLAY WITH, LEAD HIM IN THIS/THAT DIRECTION, TO PLAY BALL WITH ….AND, SURELY, AT SOME POINT IN TIME, WILL BE ‘TELLING HIM WHAT HE CAN AND CANNOT DO’ (WITH YOU AND HUBBY LAUGHING HARD, TO BE SURE!-

    CLEARLY A BLESSING!

KEEP STAYING WELL AND OH-SO HAPPY ~

gail Pudaloff (PS) Keep using those pelvic floor muscles….they’ll help you sooo much, in the short&long run!!

  4. I babysit a set of brothers (and have for ~8 years now, insert happy tears — they are our “jr. ushers” in our now postponed/someday wedding) who are in back to back grades in school (4th and 5th grades right now) and they are the very BEST buds. Truly, nothing is sweeter, so I can’t imagine what would be news than this! And from a babysitters perspective, they are SO unbelievably easy to babysit because they prefer to just hangout with one another and I don’t have to do much entertaining, haha!

    Congratulations to y’all!

  5. I have a girl then 2 boys. The girl was SO EASY as a child while the boys were perpetual motion. Good luck! Haha But I will say boys are way more up for activities ( they would go on my runs with me when I was marathon training – I’d run and they’d bike) where the girl wanted to read, draw or play quietly with toys. It’s amazing how different boys and girls are growing up.

    1. I don’t think this is always true, but sounds like you have a perfect mix!! I have it the other way – twin girls who literally never stop moving, and then a boy who was way more relaxed and good to hang (also a lifesaver – honestly not sure how I would have handled a third as active as them!).

Congratulations brothers are so cute! Xo

  6. I raised 2 boys 22 months a part. At the beginning it was rough because the oldest was jealous. Being close in age and 2 in diapers made for a busy life. I worked full time and my husband traveled for work but i as fortunate to have family nearby. Both boys were potty trained near there 3rd birthday. They always had a playmate and same interests in toys. Our life revolved around sports as they got older. The oldest enjoyed basketball and the youngest preferred baseball. We stayed on he go with sporting events and camps. when hey were teenagers they had different friends. My home was the hangout. I thoroughly enjoyed raising boys. Boys do love their mother!!!

  7. Congratulations, Mackenzie! I’m due any day with our second little girl, and there is definitely some comfort in having the same sex back-to-back. Built in best friends, in my experience with my own sister! My husband is the oldest of three brothers, and they are all incredibly close. What an exciting time of life! Sending love. xx

  8. My two boys are 16 moths apart, and those first couple of years were a blur. But I remember them so fondly, they are now 10 and 11, my time flies! While they are growing to have different interests, it has been lovely to see them go through stages together and I am so so happy to be their mother. They have a lot of energy, they are messier than girls, but they love their mama so much it’s heartbreaking. Congrats!

  9. I have two boys 22 months apart. We’re still seeing their relationship develop, but it is soooo cute to see out oldest help out and bring his little brother his sippy cup or give him hugs. And little brother is just OBSESSED with big brother. Pretty much once he was old enough to look around and really notice the world, if his big brother is in the room that’s who he is looking at, following, talking to. It’s pretty cute 😍😍.

  10. I have two boys, 19 months difference and the youngest is now almost six months old. I feel you 😉
I can tell you it’s tiring (the youngest doesn’t sleep as well as the oldest), but the love and definite fascination they have for eachother is unbelievable!

  11. I have boys 20 months apart and they are best, best friends (9 and 10 now)- we almost to have to separate them sometimes they are so obsessed with each other. We always laugh and say that we literally created a BFF for our oldest. It’s a blast- and they also have a little brother named Teddy 🙂 Congrats – baby boys (and we have a girl too but still…) are truly the best!

  12. So exciting, congratulations! I have a little boy and as we start to think about baby #2, I’m secretly hoping for a another! (Of course we would be ecstatic over a girl too). There’s just something so sweet about brothers – not to mention the practicality of getting to reuse all of those adorable clothes! I’ve watched my dad and his three brothers over the course of my life and their bond is just incredible to see! Wishing you smooth second and third trimesters! Love getting to follow along 💙
