Happy New Year! I hope you all had a restful couple of weeks and are feeling excited about what 2021 has in store. I wanted to kick off the year by reflecting on my favorite moments and the most popular blog posts from 2020. My 101 in 1001 list, my Nantucket guide, and my shop page were all frequently visited tabs on the site, but I love looking at the individual moments that you connected to most!
The most popular post of the year was the announcement that my parents were moving in with us after our renovation last spring. I talked more about our new living arrangement here and here!
The second most popular post of the year was our kitchen renovation reveal. We’re so happy with how this space turned out and it is truly the heart of our home!
This post sharing before pictures and our renovation plans for our kitchen, mudroom, and the loft above our garage was the fourth most popular post of 2020. It’s incredible to compare this shot with the photo of our completed kitchen above!
The reveal of our mudroom and laundry room was the fifth most popular post of the year. This was something our 1850s home was sorely lacking and has been the most practical addition to our lives as a young family!
Our powder room was the first finished space I shared after our renovations this spring and I was so glad you all loved this little space as much as we all do!
I got really nice feedback about the interview I did with my mom (part one here and part two here!). Selfishly I’m so happy to have our conversation written down somewhere I’ll always be able to read it!
And a few posts from years past that continued to be popular in 2020: this post about my parents’ work at A Better Chance, this maternity jeans review, this (possibly TMI) post about my postpartum recovery essentials, Teddy’s nursery reveal, Teddy’s birth story, our first month with Teddy, our wedding, and this interview with my Grandy!
