As we prepare to renovate our pool and relandscape our backyard (lots more to come on that project!), I’ve been sourcing lots of inspiration images for how we want the finished yard to look and feel. I shared our outdoor dining furniture (and a glimpse at our very large and very outdated pool) in this post, but once the backyard makeover is complete, we have a couple areas that call for outdoor lounge furniture and there’s one collection in particular that I can’t stop thinking about…
These pieces are from Miles Redd’s collection for Ballard Designs and I’m smitten with the fretwork design, the glossy white finish, the fact they’re made of powder-coated aluminum rather than wood, and — are you ready for this? — the fact that all the chairs and sofas have pull-out drawers where you can store the cushions. We’re used to having an unwieldy stack of cushions and pillows teetering in our garage, so the idea of running out in the rain to quickly stash the cushions in their own self-contained furniture is just genius to me.
I’ve never seen anything else like it and I’m in love! Right now the finish line for our backyard project feels pretty distant so I’m definitely getting ahead of myself, but I’m dreaming of adding these pieces to our finished space at some point in the future. You can browse the whole collection here if you’re also working on decorating an outdoor space! I do wish you could order the other color cushions as a default option vs. having to order a replacement set, but I’m not sure there’s anything that could really dissuade me from my obsession!
P.S. We’re all set on outdoor dining furniture, but if you’re looking, this set from Target has a similar feel at a great price!
