Believe it or not I’ve never been super comfortable taking photos for my blog or Instagram (it definitely wasn’t the emphasis when I started blogging in 2009!), but I do think one day I’ll look back and be very happy to have lots of photos with our kids at different ages. Right now Teddy is 21 months and Peter is 3 months and they’re both such delicious ages for different reasons. It’s been particularly fun lately to see the world through Teddy’s eyes and I love that I’ll have this set of photos to remember his excitement running up and down the ramp to the lighthouse for the first time!
He also happens to love this outfit — he’s been pointing to the sailboat t-shirt every time I open his dresser drawers since we got to Nantucket and I’m just glad we have the same taste for now. 😂 Both Teddy and Peter’s outfits are from a new children’s brand called Ann + Reeves and they’re adorable in person. The design features Nantucket’s famous Rainbow Fleet and I knew I wanted to photograph the boys in them at Brant Point! Teddy is wearing the t-shirt and shorts version and Peter is wearing this little bubble. Definitely check out their site for more precious smocked pieces from a new small business!
And speaking of small businesses, I have to highlight this eyelet dress from my friend Jenn’s newest collection for Sail to Sable. She designed this trapeze silhouette for them several seasons back and this is now the third color I have in the same style — it’s a shape I reach for frequently as it’s incredibly comfortable and forgiving and so easy to throw on with espadrilles and be out the door. I love the classic white eyelet and also get a lot of wear out of the navy and white stripe version. You can see more Style Charade x Sail to Sable pieces here.
