Many of my favorite wardrobe staples over the years have come from J.Crew — their sweaters, their coats, their button-down shirts, their shoes, their swimwear… So I was beyond excited when they asked me to feature a few of their new arrivals in today’s post and even more so when everything arrived and I realized how good each piece is in person. Here’s what I chose!

I love this swingy turtleneck in the heather sand color — it’s an easy neutral that I didn’t know my closet was missing and the slightly oversized style would make a great gift at any age. Here I wore it with these perfect toothpick jeans in white (the petite length is one of few pairs I don’t have to hem at 5’1”!) but it’d be equally cute dressed up and tucked into a skirt or dressed down with leggings and sneakers. This triple pearl ring is such a fun take on classic pearls and would be a cute stocking stuffer!

I am also very excited about this quilted cocoon puffer coat — I’ve been wearing J.Crew’s classic cocoon coat for years and they just introduced this quilted version that’s the perfect weight for all the in-between seasons in New England (you could wear it on its own in fall/early spring and then add a scarf, hat, etc. for winter!). I can tell it’s going to be in heavy rotation for school drop-off and pick-up in the months to come. I would recommend sizing down unless you plan to wear heavy layers underneath — I’m wearing the petite XS and it still has a roomier fit. And I have to take a second to rave about this rollneck sweater! It is indeed super soft and I wish this heather river color were available in every sweater in their collection because it’s so good with navy, camel, olive green… basically all my favorite colors this time of year!

  1. Curious about the sizing of the first sweater? Do you find both sweaters conducive to breastfeeding? I’m due soon and love the swingy turtleneck sweater, but am trying to plan ahead.

    1. Congratulations! I’m wearing an XS in both and would say they’re true to size, with the first one intended to have a swingier/more oversized fit. I lift both up to breastfeed comfortably! 🙂
