It’s been a really heavy week after the devastating school shooting in Texas on Tuesday and my heart goes out to all of you grappling with a similar combination of grief, fear, anger, hopelessness, and more. This is a great resource if you’re able to join me in making a donation and here are verified fundraisers for the families of these young victims, and most of all I just want each of you to know you’re not alone in however you’re processing things right now. I don’t think there’s one right way to experience this kind of tragedy — I find myself oscillating several times a day between a compulsion to read every news article I can get my hands on, a desire to throw my phone out the window and not check the news for the rest of the day, a readiness to donate and share resources, and a need to disconnect and distract myself with a book or a blog or a needlepoint project or anything else.
