As a mom of three boys, I’ve been completely surprised by how much fun I have shopping for baby and toddler boy clothes for each season and it brings me great joy to share my favorite finds with fellow boy moms! From half-zip sweaters and suede boots to quilted jackets and khaki pants, here are some of my very favorite fall clothes for toddler boys — I don’t stick to a capsule wardrobe for myself or anyone in our family, but I could easily dress both Teddy and Peter exclusively in these 15 picks if I had to!
Also, I tend to gravitate strongly to shades of blue in my own wardrobe, so it’s no surprise that that’s where I’m drawn when dressing our boys. I will say that buying a majority of their clothing in a similar color palette makes it easy for anyone in our house to get them dressed on a given day — as in my husband is unlikely to put together an outfit that really clashes if their wardrobe is mostly monochromatic! You could of course take this approach with any color you or your children love. Eventually I’d love to get into a habit of laying out their outfits the night before as part of our bedtime routine, but in the mean time this general strategy helps us avoid most major wardrobe malfunctions. 🙂
