I’ve been planning this trip for months and I can’t believe the day is finally here! Will and I leave bright and early tomorrow morning for a few days with friends in Hawaii followed by a little over a week in Australia. Our friends have planned out our time in Hawaii and then I’ve researched and mapped out our itinerary for Australia. Thanks to your recommendations on this post, we’ll be splitting our time among Sydney, Cabarita Beach, and Port Douglas and I can’t wait to report back on our favorite finds in each! If you have any additional suggestions, please leave me a comment below!

Ah! What part of Hawaii are you headed to? I live on Oahu and–if you have the time–I can’t recommend Doris Duke’s Shangri La enough. As a design enthusiast, you’d love it. It’s not everyone’s personal style, but it’s still a marvel to see in person.
Have such a great trip, Mackenzie! 🙂 I recently discovered your blog on Pinterest and just LOVE your bright, classic style! Your photos are just gorgeous. I’m moving to the Fairfield County Connecticut area next year after living in NYC and France over the years. Your home decor has inspired me and my husband’s house planning! Thanks for sharing your light with us!

I’m so excited for you!! Port Douglas is pretty cool, I only spent a day there so I can’t wait to see what you do! The shopping was pretty good if I remember correctly! Loving the straw bag with the bow detail!
