Will and I are so happy to share that we are expecting baby #2! We can’t wait to welcome a new little one to our family and I’m thrilled to finally share the big news with all of you. The baby is due in late April and we’re already counting down the weeks until his or her arrival!

I am currently 16 weeks along and feeling so much better than I did in my first pregnancy. I’m planning to write a first trimester recap soon, but the biggest update is that I was spared from hyperemesis gravidarum this time around. I’ve had the standard pregnancy nausea and vomiting but nowhere close to how sick I was with Teddy, for which I’m extremely grateful!

We’ve always hoped to have children close in age and are really excited that Teddy and his little brother or sister will be 19 months apart! It’s going to be total mayhem but I truly can’t wait. We found out the baby’s sex when we did genetic testing around 11 weeks and I’m planning to share that next week as well. Feel free to leave your guess in the comments! xx

  1. Congrats! My two boys are 16 months apart and it’s been wonderful to raise them through each stage together. What a wonderful time for your family <3

  2. Congratulations!! My brother and I are 20 months apart and it’s amazing to have a best friend so close in age, a protector though school, all that good stuff. I’m getting girl vibes?

  3. Congratulations! I saw on your insta stories that you want a big family; my husband and I have 4 (2 boys and 2 girls) and we could not be happier! Definitely controlled chaos lol

  4. Oh, I’m so so so happy for you!!! I know this was on your 101 in 1001 list. : ) A very exciting event to look forward to during this pandemic. Congratulations! (I think it’s a GIRL!)

  5. Congrats! I’m pregnant too, only 8 weeks, and I don’t have any friends who are pregnant or moms in my area. I’m looking forward to reading your pregnancy posts for help/inspiration!

  6. Congratulations, such a beautiful family! Mackenzie, I can’t get over how much Teddy looks like your Dad! I say girl 🙂

  7. I just had my second 5 days ago and my first is 19 months – so far it’s controlled chaos but SO FUN seeing how excited our oldest has been. Congratulations!

  8. Congrats on your growing family! I’m going to go with another boy because I see sooooo much blue in your photo 🙂

  9. Congratulations-I wondered where your full-body shots were. I’m so glad you feel good-you look great, and yes, with subsequent babies, you immediately look 4 months pregnant I have found. 😂

    I’m saying girl. 🌸

  10. That’s wonderful, congratulations!! So happy to hear that you haven’t had to deal with hyperemesis gravidarum this time around. My guess is a girl but I know this will be an amazing addition to your family no matter what! <3

  11. Congratulations!!! A sweet little girl would be a fun new experience but another boy would be able to wear all Teddy’s cute clothes. Either way, it’s a wonderful blessing!!!

  12. Oh my goodness, congratulations!! This is so exciting. My boys are 19 months a part and it’s been a wild and fun ride with them. I’m guessing a girl, but secretly hoping it’s a boy because having two boys so close in age is the BEST!! 💙💙

  13. Yay! My son was born last December and I just found out about #2 coming in June 🙈. Very much looking forward to your 1st trimester recap bc this pregnancy is SO different for me already – I literally have no symptoms other than that my milk supply has dropped. I’ve honestly been feeling not ready yet to do this again but seeing that you are going to be in the same boat a couple months ahead of me is actually comforting! That, and you will hopefully be posting about everything new you learn the 2nd time around just when I’m needing guidance and advice. Congrats to you and your family!

  14. Super congrats! Siblings are so great, even if chaotic lol. I’m wishing you a little girl (because as a mom of two boys, I’m desperate for a daughter) but I feel like you’ll have another boy. Brothers are awesome. Congrats again!

  15. Congratulations! I am also 16 weeks, and looking forward to your very timely content during my own pregnancy . So happy for you to be growing your family and to be spared HG this time around!

  16. Congratulations! So glad to hear this pregnancy is easier than the first. Also wanted to say thank you for saying “sex” rather than “gender” in this case – it’s an important shift!

  17. Congratulations!! I am so excited to read this! I am also 16 weeks pregnant and my boys will be 15 months apart!! Cheers!! Can’t wait to find the gender of your sweet blessing! My guess is boy 💙

  18. Just welcomed #2 in September when my daughter was 19 months. It is definitely mayhem most of the time, but I was really surprised to see how much more relaxed I’ve been with a newborn this time around. (Maybe because we JUST went through it?!) Definitely invest in a good wrap or baby-wearing device…I’ve been living in my Solly and I think that’s one of the only ways I can successfully chase around a toddler! Congratulations to y’all on your growing family!!!

  19. Yay! I‘m so happy for you and also happy to hear that you didn’t get HG this time!

Can’t wait to hear what going from 1 to 2 is like, I’ll be taking notes!!

  20. Congratulations to you and your family, Mackenzie! What an exciting time for you. It’s been so wonderful to follow along as you have gotten married and started your family. All the best to you during your pregnancy and I look forward to finding out the baby’s sex! I’m going to guess girl for your second baby.

  21. My guess is a girl! Congratulations to you and your family! <3 My two younger sisters and I were all born within a 3.5 year span, and I loved it!

  22. Congratulations! I so so love that you used the word “sex” and not “gender.” They’re not gender reveals, they’re sex reveals!!
