We have lots of summer birthdays in our family and this year more than ever we’ve loved having an excuse to gather in our backyard and eat dinner as a family. We celebrated my cousin Emily’s birthday over the weekend and it was fun to have an excuse to dress up for a few family photos before the main event. I wore this green and white striped one shoulder top from Pearl by Lela Rose, a collection that’s near and dear to my heart as I wore a few of their pieces on our trip to Australia just after finding out I was pregnant with Teddy. Feels full circle to be back in one of their beautiful designs while chasing our ten-month-old around the lawn!

Hi Mackenzie! I love this top!! And just want to share a little story about the navy dress: last year when you posted about it, you also shared the white version with a comment about how perfect it would be for a bride. At the time I wasn’t a bride, but I kept that dress in the back of my mind for over a year. After getting engaged this spring, I checked on the site to see if the dress was still available but it was of course gone:/ Miracles do happen though–it came available on sample sale a few weeks later in just my size!! Absolutely cannot wait to wear such a stunning dress to my rehearsal dinner next year! Thanks for sharing this fabulous brand! 🙂
Omg how amazing! It will be PERFECT! Congratulations on your engagement 🙂
Thank you!! 😊
