HYDRANGEA BLUE BLAZER

I’ve waxed poetic about the quality and fit of Smythe blazers before (here, here, and here off the top of my head) and I was so excited to add this hydrangea blue blazer to my closet during a recent Shopbop sale. I love throwing a blazer over a t-shirt to meet a friend for lunch or over a silk blouse for a double date and I swear I’d wear one of these blazers every day if I worked in an office! They’re cut with a slightly padded shoulder and nipped in waist that creates a super flattering silhouette — I can’t recommend them more highly!

Also in love with my latest Stubbs & Wootton acquisition, these navy needlepoint slippers! Their shoes are superb quality and I practically live in them six months out of the year. You can use code DESIGNDARLING for 20% off any full-price purchase!

I’m officially down to the lowest of low rises in my denim collection (and these are quite low as you can see!) so I think it’s time to start investing in a few pairs of maternity denim. If you have any recommendations, please share them in the comments!

  1. Love the color and cut of the blazer! I’m terrified of it looking rumpled because it’s linen – how would you rate it on the pain in the @ss scale for keeping it crisp and sharp?

    1. Haha it’s not too bad — it only wrinkles where I scrunch the sleeves (which obviously you don’t have to do)! I’ve folded it in a suitcase before and had no problems.

  2. Can we use the code on mens and womens slippers or just womens? Thanks, lady! What a great discount!

  3. I’ve dreamed of investing in a Smythe blazer ever since seeing Sarah Richardson on HGTV wear them all the time. How is sizing?

  4. I just ordered 6 pairs to try on and the two I kept for now are the Madewell side panel white skinny jean and the Paige Verdugo skinny (also a side panel). The side panels are so comfy and seem like they will stretch a lot, I may add a full panel pair later in pregnancy but we’ll see! Was cursing that I only have high rise denim these days haha

  5. I just got a pair of J.Brand below the belly (the ones with the elastic sides) jeans from Pea in the Pod and they’re soooo comfy. Also got a pair of Paige white maternity from Pea in the Pod. Sign up for emails and you’ll get coupons and discount codes all the time.

  6. I loved Gap’s maternity jeans–the ones with the side panels. Much comfier than the full-panel jeans!
